Tri-Center board reviews preliminary FY27 budget, approves interagency agreements and sets budget hearing

Business Manager and Board Secretary Jennifer Harder presented preliminary information on the district’s FY2027 budget at the March 9 Tri-Center Comm School District Board meeting and informed the board that TLC funds will be used to cover a shortfall related to required minimums in TSS for FY2026.
Following the budget overview, the board approved three interagency agreements for 2026–2027: the Iowa LGRP agreement, the AEA Purchasing agreement, and the GreenHills AEA memorandum of understanding. Motions to approve those agreements were recorded and carried 4-0.
Harder also announced the FY27 budget hearing will be held March 27 at 8:00 a.m. The board set the April regular meeting for April 15, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. The minutes show no public comment during the March 9 meeting and no extended debate recorded about the preliminary budget figures in the board minutes.
