Applicants revive 2013 plan for two dwellings at 370 Shaw Street; board requests stormwater peer review

The current submission shows two new dwellings (building A footprint ~2,000 sq ft; building B ~1,380 sq ft) with attached garages, a 20‑foot access driveway and retention/infiltration systems sized to capture roof and driveway runoff.
Owner Bill Jablonski told the board financing problems prevented earlier construction; the family now seeks to proceed with updated drainage and grading. Griffiths described a Koltec infiltration system, trench drains, retaining walls and driveways designed to meet fire‑truck turnaround requirements.
Why it matters: the board noted the site’s previous approval contained more asphalt and higher retaining walls; staff and DPW want a peer review to confirm the new leaching chamber design, verify slope and drainage and ensure winter icing risks associated with a 12% driveway grade are mitigated.
Board action: staff and DPW flagged only minor design items but recommended a stormwater peer review. The applicant agreed to revise plans to address DPW comments; the board continued the hearing to August 18, 2026, to allow time for peer review results and updated plans.
