Myersville Mayor Mark Hinkle presided over the Sept. 10 regular meeting where the council adopted Ordinance 2024‑14 to authorize towing of vehicles left parked for extended periods, following a request from Town Deputy Paul Graves.
The council voted unanimously, 5–0, to approve the towing ordinance after it was introduced at a Sept. 4 workshop. Mayor Hinkle summarized the ordinance and Deputy Graves had earlier reported a vehicle repeatedly left in front of a residence with a placard placed by another deputy but no authority to tow without a town ordinance.
Town Manager Kristin Aleshire reviewed bids for ongoing IT support and the council voted 5–0 to award a contract to CES for $19,500. Councilmember Dan Long moved for the award and Mark Flynn seconded the motion.
On zoning matters, Mayor Hinkle summarized Ordinance 2024‑11 (Zoning Administration Duties), which the council approved 5–0 on a motion by Wayne Creadick Jr., seconded by Dan Long. The council also introduced Infractions Ordinance 2024‑12 and GC District Building Size Ordinance 2024‑13 for additional review; those measures were placed on the agenda and introduced but not adopted at the meeting.
The Town Manager also reviewed an MMC security system contract for key‑fob maintenance. Council voted 5–0 to have M.C. Dean perform maintenance on the key‑fob system.
The council’s actions were procedural and administrative in nature; no fines, towing vendor names, or enforcement timelines were specified in the meeting record. The meeting adjourned after the listed votes.
