The Coldwater City Council voted July 13 to adopt a 30‑day license allowing a property owner at 22 West Pearl to place a post office box in Chandler Parking Plaza; staff said the license can be revoked if the space is needed for other purposes. Council approved the license by roll-call vote (clerk called names; all voting councilmembers recorded "Yes").
Council also voted to authorize public distribution of the draft master plan under resolution 26‑71. Robert Hall, who presented the draft, said the planning commission previously approved a recommendation to distribute the plan and that state law requires a 63‑day public review period before the planning commission holds a public hearing and the council considers a final draft. "From that point it will come back to the Planning Commission for a public hearing," Hall said (Robert Hall, speaker 14).
Both actions were adopted on motions and carried without further amendment. The license includes a removal clause should the city need the space for future use, and distribution of the master plan begins the statutorily required public-review period before a planning-commission hearing.
