Mukwonago trims Jack O'Lantern Jaunt fee by $2,640 after Rotary cites doubled charges
Summary
Jim Cotterone of the Mukwonago Rotary explained the club's pavilion fees more than doubled; staff said the agenda mistakenly listed a full waiver request as a clerical error and the committee amended its motion to reduce fees by $2,640. The amendment and final motion passed by voice vote.

The Committee of the Whole on May 6 approved a motion to reduce the pavilion fee for the Mukwonago Rotary Club’s Jack O'Lantern Jaunt by $2,640 after a Rotary representative said the fee schedule on this year’s invoice had more than doubled compared with prior years.
Jim Cotterone, speaking for the Rotary, said the club had been charged for additional days this year — including pavilion use earlier in the week — and that their original intent was a reduction consistent with prior years so more funds could go to charitable causes.
“Typically, we had been charged for the actual event days, Friday and Saturday,” Cotterone said, explaining the difference and that the club sought parity with previous years.
Director Ron Bittner told trustees the agenda entry incorrectly listed a full fee waiver due to a clerical error; the club’s written request had asked for a reduction. The committee amended the original motion to reduce the fee by $2,640 and then approved the amended motion by voice vote.
