The North Cape School District Board of Education on July 21 voted to eliminate the 2024 changes to Title IX Policy 113 and to reinstate the district’s 2020 policy language and Rules 1–3.
Board Treasurer Ryan Menken moved to rescind the 2024 revisions and revert to the 2020 policy and related rules, saying federal courts had invalidated the 2024 changes. President Dan Hying seconded the motion; the minutes record that all were in favor and the motion carried.
The minutes do not include the text of the 2024 changes or the 2020 language; the board’s action is recorded as a formal policy reversion. The administration will be responsible for publishing the operative Title IX policy language and any updated rules on the district website and for ensuring district processes comply with the reverted policy.
The board proceeded to other agenda items after approving the Title IX reversion.
