Marion trustees approve insurance renewal, service contracts, program renewals and personnel actions

The Marion School District board approved several administrative and program items during its June 22 meeting.
Tiffany Krueger moved to approve the 2026-27 Property, Liability and Workers Compensation insurance renewal; Dawn Papendorf seconded and the motion carried. Krueger also moved to adopt the School Speech Pathologist Services Contract; Melissa Stuhr seconded and that motion carried. The board renewed the Food Service Community Eligibility Program for 2026-27 on a motion from Melissa Stuhr, seconded by George Graper.
Personnel actions — resignations, retirements and new hires — were approved on a motion by Melissa Stuhr, seconded by Lynn Tober-Steinke. The board accepted an $800 donation from the Big Falls Bow Hunters to support the district’s archery program after a motion by Stuhr and a second by Graper.
Dawn Papendorf moved to approve a 2026-27 Library Media Specialist 66.0301 Intergovernmental Agreement; Lynn Tober-Steinke seconded and the motion carried. A proposed 2025-26 budget amendment was discussed but the board did not take action on that item.
