Kensington selected for 2026 Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage; Noyes Library renovation contract awarded

At the March 12 meeting Lindsey Field of the Noyes Library Foundation summarized a planned renovation to the historic Noyes Library that retains the buildings storybook exterior and main reading room while adding ADA accessibility. Washington Landmark Construction has been awarded the construction contract for the project.
Kate DeWitt, president of the Kensington Historical Society, said Kensington has been selected to represent Montgomery County in the 2026 Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage (MHGP). The tour will spotlight private homes and gardens, the business district, and other historic sites in town and will raise funds for the Noyes Childrens Library Foundation, the featured preservation project.
