Parksley council approves minutes, August bills and a new variance zoning application form

The Parksley Town Council voted unanimously at its Sept. 9, 2024 meeting to accept the Aug. 12, 2024 meeting minutes (with a correction noted on page 3), to approve the town’s August bills, and to adopt a newly drafted variance zoning application form.
Councilman Brad York moved to accept the minutes; Councilwoman Jan Welch seconded the motion and the council recorded ayes from Richard Taylor, Brad York, Jan Welch, Sam Welch, Henry Nicholson and Mark Layne. Councilman Mark Layne moved to approve the August bills, seconded by Councilman Brad York; that motion also passed on the same unanimous ayes. Clerk Lauren Lewis told the council she had drafted a variance application form because she could not find a current town form; Councilman Layne moved to accept the form with one correction on page 3, Councilman York seconded, and the motion carried with unanimous votes.
