Oakfield board approves routine business: agenda, minutes, licenses, financials and CAP
Summary
At its June 8 meeting the Oakfield Town Board approved the meeting agenda and May 11 minutes, accepted insurance declarations, approved alcohol and operator licenses (with one recusal), accepted the Treasurer’s report, authorized payment of bills, accepted a recycling CAP and adjourned.
The Oakfield Town Board on June 8 approved a series of routine motions covering meeting business, licenses, financial reports and compliance items.
Motions carried included approval of the meeting agenda and the May 11 meeting minutes. The board voted to accept the businessowners’ policy declarations for the town’s insurance coverage.
The board approved Class B beer and Class B liquor licenses for VFW Post 8092 for the July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 period. The board also approved the same categories of license for Oakfield Conservation Club LLC for the same period; Brad Sabel recused himself from discussion and the vote on the Conservation Club license.
Operator licenses for the VFW (Eugene Pfaltzgraff, John Laudolff and James Wettstein) were approved. The board also approved operator licenses for Oakfield Conservation Club applicants Terry Sobotta and Holli Rilling; the record notes Brad Sabel recused himself from matters related to the Conservation Club.
The board accepted the Compliance Assurance Plan (CAP) for recycling and Chair Edward Smith signed the CAP as attested by Clerk Nicole Schauer. Treasurer Amy Steinke’s May financial report was approved and the bills presented by the Clerk were audited and approved for payment. Several building permits were reported as issued; the board took no separate contested action on the permits during the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
