The motion was made by Chair Brian Mills and seconded by Select Board member Frederick Detheridge and carried.
Treasurer Amber Cooper said the funds need to be “rolled” into the designated account. Cooper asked whether a separate vote will be required to use the money for the compactor roof; board members said a vote will be required to authorize spending. The board had earlier considered, and rejected, a motion to withdraw $2,500 from the designated account directly for the roof; that earlier motion failed.
The action places the appropriated money in the account used for Transfer Station projects but does not authorize any expenditure. Any future spending on the compactor or roof must return to the board for a separate vote.
