Roxbury ATV Club urges clearer signage; Select Board to explore flashing signs and state permission

Chair Brian Mills proposed highly visible signs with flashing lights at three initial locations and asked Wells whether the club could contribute funds. Wells said solar power was unlikely to be sufficient and that enforcement by law enforcement or a game warden might be necessary because signage alone has limited effect.
The board directed staff to check with the state about permission to place signage on Route 5 and to explore state funding options; Mills also said the town could consider placement of a prominent sign by the AirBnB access point and other identified locations.
