TICONDEROGA โ The Town Board approved a package of routine resolutions by voice vote, including a right-of-entry for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to study wetlands, a street closure for the July 25 annual festival, increases to lifeguard pay, and several assessment and account adjustments.
Among the actions the board carried:
- Approved a resolution authorizing the town supervisor to sign a right-of-entry agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a wetlands study supporting the Gooseneck Pond MPR.
- Approved closing Moncom Street from Lake Turk Avenue to Champlain Avenue on July 25 for the annual street festival.
- Approved a resolution to increase the hourly wage for lifeguards by $1 for the 2026 season.
- Appointed Anne McDonald to the Blackwatch Memorial Library board.
- Approved multiple assessment/account changes (water/sewer EDU updates) and fund transfers and ratified personnel contract actions (including ratifying and rescinding employment offers where noted in the record).
Most votes were recorded by voice and carried with no roll-call tally given in the meeting transcript. Board members discussed logistics for event enforcement and towing, guard certification and AED availability for the summer program, and budget-line implications for pending insurance rate increases.
Next steps: staff will post formal resolutions and update the town website with meeting materials and implementation details.
