At its July 23 meeting Union City Borough Council recorded and unanimously approved the following motions and outcomes:
- Approve meeting agenda as presented. (Motion by Councilor Steadman; seconded by Councilor Osborn.)
- Approve minutes from the July 9, 2024 council meeting. (Motion by Councilor Kerns; seconded by Councilor Steadman.)
- Accept Secretary’s Report and make it part of the minutes. (Motion by Councilor Osborn; seconded by Councilor Winkler.)
- Order unpaid bills be paid and approve those already paid. (Motion by Councilor Kerns; seconded by Councilor Steadman.)
- Accept Mansfield quote of $5,000 to repair/replace/reconnect pipe at sinkhole in Municipal Lot #1, with the borough providing pipes and fittings (estimated additional cost $5,000). (Motion by Councilor Kerns; seconded by Councilor Steadman.)
- Award Devereaux Park/French Creek Trail project to Vavala Concrete, low bid $84,774. (Motion by Councilor Osborn; seconded by Councilor Steadman.)
- Approve updated Right‑to‑Know Rules and Regulations language clarifying anonymous requests. (Motion by Councilor Osborn; seconded by Councilor Steadman.)
- Adopt resolution authorizing application for Broadband Ready Community designation and appoint Erie Area Council of Governments as the Municipal Broadband Champion. (Motion by Councilor Kerns; seconded by Councilor Winkler.)
- Adjourn meeting at 6:38 p.m. (Motion by Councilor Winkler; seconded by Councilor Osborn.)
