Council approves temporary closure of E. Main for Chamber's "Santa at the Chamber" event

The South Hill Town Council approved a request from the Chamber of Commerce to close a segment of E. Main Street for the Chamber's "Santa at the Chamber" event.
Town Manager Keli Reekes said the requested closure would affect E. Main Street adjacent to the Chamber between Mecklenburg Avenue and Brooke Avenue on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Councilor Lillie Feggins-Boone moved to approve the closure; Councilor Ashley Hardee seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Council's approval authorizes staff to coordinate the street closure and associated event logistics with the Chamber of Commerce.
