Afton town administrator resigns after accepting finance post in Boulder City, Nevada

Hyun Kim, Afton’s town administrator, announced at the Sept. 13 meeting that he has accepted a position as Director of Finance for Boulder City, Nevada and submitted his resignation. Mayor Joel Neuenschwander and council members thanked Kim for his service.
The announcement came after Kim presented the town’s financial statements for the period ending Aug. 31, 2016. Council members expressed appreciation for his work; the council later went into executive session at 7:20 p.m. to discuss personnel and reconvened at 8:40 p.m. with no action reported.
The resignation creates an administrative vacancy the council will address through its usual personnel procedures. The council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 11, 2016 at Afton Town Hall.
