Following an executive session on collective bargaining, the Groton Town Council recommended approval of funds necessary to implement a tentative agreement with the United Steelworkers local for a contract term of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028.
Arnesha Green, director of human resources and risk management, and the town attorney participated in the executive session discussions. After returning to open session, Councilor Jones moved the recommendation that the town approve funding necessary to implement the agreement; Mayor Parker seconded. The motion carried on a roll call vote of 7–0.
