At its May 13 meeting the Teaneck Board of Education approved several personnel items, including resignations, appointments, summer assignments and tenure acquisitions.
The board accepted the resignation of Giannil Jaramillo (Student Support – FORUM; effective 7/1/2026) and approved certificated appointments (for example, Jared Garner, Teacher of Music at Benjamin Franklin Middle School, effective 9/1/2026) and non‑certificated hires such as a school bus driver and SACC aides (with salary and effective dates listed in agenda attachments).
The board approved staffing and stipend lists for the Teaneck Community Education Center summer program Camp Kookooskoos (director and deputy director stipends and multiple counselor and lifeguard positions and rates), Extended School Year (ESY) staff assignments and summer teachers with hourly rates not to exceed listed caps. The board also approved numerous tenure acquisitions with specific effective dates for staff across district schools (agenda lists many names and dates).
Separately, the board approved an action to withhold the salary employment increment and employment adjustments for Employee #2117 for the 2026–27 year and directed Human Resources to provide written notice to the employee within 10 days pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:29‑14.
These personnel matters were included in the Personnel items (1–20) moved and approved by the board.
