Teaneck renews Maschio’s food service contract and raises student meal prices for 2026–27

Under the renewal the FSMC will receive an administrative/management fee of $0.1540 per reimbursable meal and meal equivalent. The school district’s agenda states that cash receipts (other than reimbursable program meals) will be converted to meal equivalents using a $4.095 meal equivalent rate for administrative fee calculations and that the FSMC guarantees a breakeven return for the 2026–27 school year.
The board also approved the 2026–27 meal price schedule included in the agenda: paid elementary breakfast $2.25 (up from $2.00), paid middle/high breakfast $2.50, paid elementary lunch $3.75 (up from $3.50), middle school lunch $4.00, and high school lunch $4.25. Reduced and free meal rates are listed as $0 for certain categories in the agenda.
