The Landover Hills Town Council discussed its process for evaluating Town Manager Rommel Pazmino at the Sept. 9 workshop and scheduled a closed session to finalize the evaluation.
Mayor Jeffrey Schomisch asked councilmembers to review the job description and proposed evaluation questions. The council agreed to change the job description phrasing from 'other duties as assigned' to 'other duties as necessary,' and to add a Town Manager's Report to the monthly council meeting agenda. Members will complete individual evaluations, meet to combine them into one document, and provide that combined evaluation to the Town Manager for his review and response.
Mayor Schomisch said a closed session will be held Sept. 23 after the regular Town Council meeting to discuss the consolidated evaluation. No disciplinary action or personnel outcomes were recorded at the workshop.
Next steps: councilmembers will finalize and combine evaluations, deliver the combined evaluation to the Town Manager in advance of the Sept. 23 closed session, and the closed session will follow the regular meeting on Sept. 23.
