An Alpha representative introduced by Mayor Jeffrey Schomisch presented an IT services proposal at the Sept. 9 Landover Hills workshop; councilmembers asked staff to gather municipal references before any contract decision.
Mayor Schomisch introduced Patrice from Alpha to present the company's proposal. After the presentation councilmembers asked for references from other municipalities that have contracted Alpha for IT work. Vice Mayor Jeannette Ripley specifically asked Town Manager Rommel Pazmino to contact Sue Ellen Ferguson at the Town of University Park for a reference.
Council did not take action on a contract or request proposals at the workshop. The request for references signals that the council plans further vetting before authorizing any vendor engagement.
Next steps: Town Manager Rommel Pazmino will contact municipal references and report back to the council.
