LaGrange Street by 10:30AM on July 29, 2026, with bids opened in court at 10:45AM and award announcements planned for Aug. 10, 2026.
Quitclaim deed for abandoned road parcel: The court approved a quitclaim conveying 0.28 acres of abandoned Shiner Moulton Road (Precinct 3) to Jeffrey T. Pesek and spouse; staff confirmed required postings and consultations with county staff were complete.
Donations for school safety: The sheriff's office reported an additional $9,250 in donations, bringing a project total to $44,250 to purchase school safety equipment. The court accepted monetary contributions from named local vendors and individuals and thanked donors for their support.
Other actions and routine business: The court approved enrollment in a Texas Association of Counties AI training (required to maintain some grant eligibility), approved an engagement letter for external auditors to perform the FY2026 audit, certified county road mileage (867 miles certified by staff), and approved the consent agenda. The court also acknowledged state proclamations on border security and drought and noted receipt of a TCEQ groundwater monitoring report.
