New Windsor council appoints three to Ethics Commission and approves pay increase for boards

Mayor Kevin Cornick presented Austin Fogarty, Nichole Ballard and Matt Abbott as nominees to the Ethics Commission. Councilmember Dave Hoffman moved to accept the appointments and Councilmember Kimberlee Schultz seconded; the council approved the appointments by a 5-0 vote. Following the vote, Mayor Cornick administered the oath of office to Fogarty, Ballard and Abbott.
Council also approved the August 18, 2025 meeting minutes. Councilmember Dante Howard moved to approve the minutes; Councilmember Joshua Wolfe Mallow seconded and the motion passed 5-0.
Later in the session, Councilmember Connor Frock moved to approve Resolution 09.15.25, described in the minutes as an "increase in pay for Board of Zoning and Ethics Commission." Councilmember Wolfe Mallow seconded and the resolution was approved by a 5-0 vote. The minutes do not specify the dollar amount or exact pay schedule covered by Resolution 09.15.25.
