Riley Soult told the committee the tourism team is preparing Veterans Day banner sponsorships and a city event mailer to be mailed to approximately 3,000 households.
Soult said the banner program charges a $100 fee for a banner and that, based on current interest levels, the program can offer three sponsorships now. He also described a city event calendar mailer that will include six sponsorship slots priced at $500 each to cover mailing costs and promotion. The mailer is intended to reach roughly 3,000 households; Riley said the Chamber will coordinate event selection and that sponsorship revenue should more than cover the mailing cost.
Soult also reported work progressing on a visitor-center kiosk and discussed early plans for a river put-in for kayakers at McDonald Street by the Ohio Overpass, with an eye toward creating stops for local businesses along the route. No formal approvals were requested; the items were presented as program and promotional updates.
