Lake Operations Manager Brady Mullikin told commissioners May 12 that the crew completed a half‑lake tour and that conditions on Okauchee Lake are looking good as the district stages a slow, staggered crew rollout for the season.
Mullikin said the district completed fuel‑system upgrades, cleaned all tanks and hose reels, and expects new Mercury outboards to be provided in spring 2026. He reported that C1 is out of service this season following a tree incident but that repairs are progressing and the crane is in good condition; C2 and C3 are in the water and C4 requires welding. The small skimmer will have its hydraulic tank redone early in the season. Mullikin noted the red truck is now used only as a yard truck and that both trucks—dating from the early 1990s—will require replacement at some point.
Chair Tom Godar and commissioners discussed developing a schedule to set aside funds for future equipment replacement; Mullikin agreed to collaborate with Commissioners John Foley and Doug Larson on planning. Foley thanked Mullikin for managing equipment updates and repairs.
