Okauchee Lake Management District adopts budget-workshop results, accepts treasurer's report

The Okauchee Lake Management District on Aug. 12 accepted the treasurer’s report and adopted the results of its 2025 budget workshop.
Dee Schriver, a commissioner, presented the treasurer’s report for the period ending July 31, 2024, saying total revenues were $393,036.93 and total expenditures were $210,248.02, leaving a budgeted balance of $182,788.91. John Foley moved to accept the report; Schriver seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Accountant Pat Furno provided an assets-and-liabilities sheet and said the district has $320,000 available in cash but that $180,000 is restricted by the budget and therefore not available for spending. Furno said the only set-aside identified was $3,500 for USGS work. Commissioner John Foley said he will look into options to invest available cash.
The board also approved payments submitted between July 8 and Aug. 12, 2024, on a motion by Bruce Mueller and seconded by John Foley, and unanimously approved the minutes of the July 8, 2024 meeting on a motion by Dee Schriver.
The district will present the adopted workshop results at the annual meeting on Aug. 26, 2024. No amendments to the budget workshop results were made at the Aug. 12 meeting.
