Resident says board 'misled the public' over recognition of outgoing trustee; asks new chair to act

"You misled the public," Mobley said, urging the new chair to make a public recognition happen "to demonstrate to the public that you plan to lead with integrity and fairness." He described the omission as "deeply troubling and unprofessional" and said it undercut public confidence in the board's governance.
The chair thanked Mobley for his remarks but did not announce a corrective action during the meeting. The item remained a public comment with no formal motion recorded. Mobley also stated he will run for the board in November.
The board did not take an immediate procedural vote or issue a public correction in response; the concern was entered into the public record during the July 14 meeting.
