Commissioner Kim Stevenson presented an addendum and two sublease requests for airport hangars at the July 14 meeting.
Item 24: Stevenson asked the board to approve a lease addendum permitting the Hacker and Gossett LLC hangar to be used for commercial aviation, including operation of a flight school. The board approved the addendum after a motion and second.
Item 25: Stevenson requested consent for a sublease of the Hacker and Gossett hangar to Tinman Inc., doing business as Flyman, to operate a flight school; she said the sublease will yield a net additional $2,443 annually to the airport. The board approved the sublease.
Item 26: Stevenson asked for approval of a sublease of the Skyhawk Hangar to Fairwinds Aviation LLC; she noted the Skyhawk lease already allows commercial aviation uses. The board approved the consent to sublease.
The approvals allow commercial aviation and flight-school operations to proceed under the county's lease framework; airport staff will complete lease paperwork and record any revenue adjustments to the airport budget.
