Finance staff said inventory purchases and some supplies were charged to projects, reducing some line‑item pressure, and that the water enterprise included a $600,000 transfer from water miscellaneous to capital to reflect planned capital spending.
The board moved to authorize the town accountant to execute the transfers as presented and approved by the Finance Committee on July 9; the motion passed by voice vote.
Public works director Steven Yallick summarized the annual landfill monitoring contract and said sampling frequency has been decreasing toward an annual schedule as compliance improves. The board then authorized Town Administrator James Duggan to execute a $114,900 contract with Ty and Bond for landfill post‑closure monitoring and reporting.
