Owensville board adopts ordinances approving financial‑software and security contracts

The Owensville Board of Aldermen unanimously adopted two ordinances Sept. 2 authorizing contracts for financial software and for a City Hall security system.
Bill No. 2025-20 (Ordinance No. 1483), authorizing the mayor to execute a service contract with BS&A for financial software, was read a second time and placed on final passage after motions by Aldermen Lahmeyer and Bohl. The roll call recorded Aldermen Breeden, Kramme, Bohl and Lahmeyer voting aye and the ordinance passed.
Bill No. 2025-21 (Ordinance No. 1484), authorizing the mayor to execute a contract with Elliott Data Systems for a security system at City Hall, also passed on a unanimous roll call. Earlier in the meeting the City Clerk presented three vendor quotes for a camera and access system; the board voted to accept Elliott Data Systems' quote for $12,473.40 and agreed to evaluate at 11 months whether to continue vendor full-support services.
The meeting minutes also reflect routine consent-agenda approval (minutes, accounts payable, collector's report) and other administrative items taken without dissent.
