Board members considered new units from Elgin and Schwarze Industries (new quotes ranged roughly from $237,346 to $386,905) and used units priced between about $130,000 and $175,000. The Public Works Director emphasized that the sweeper purchase is a capital, budgeted item. The board directed staff to proceed with the accepted purchase and procurement steps.
