The Francestown Recreation Committee reported on June 3 that the town market will hold a grand opening on June 6. Minutes show five vendors attended the first market and indicated they performed well and plan to return. Bob Bitterli will order food for the June 6 opening; two bands are scheduled to perform separate sets and a combined set, with setup at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Separately, the committee suspended the Speaker Series until the fall. The group also scheduled a follow-up July 4 planning meeting for June 15 at 5:30 p.m. and asked members to bring volunteers.
The meeting ended at 5:00 p.m. after a motion to adjourn by Bob Bitterli and a second by David Leard.
