Mayor Christy Nell read a formal proclamation honoring Yamuder’s service and listing his contributions, including leadership on the New York Forward grant, electric vehicle charging station programs, Gould Park stormwater upgrades, sidewalk and storm drain improvements, senior-van and spray-park grants and multiple sustainability initiatives. The mayor proclaimed July 23, 2026 as a day recognizing his service. Board members thanked Yamuder during remarks.
Yamuder, introduced by the mayor, addressed the board and public, thanked staff and his family, reflected on a 30-year municipal administration career and said he was leaving the village in a better place. He also introduced his successor in the audience, Mike Neppel, and wished the village continued success.
The board then considered and approved a resolution formally accepting Yamuder’s resignation. The resolution to accept Yamuder’s resignation was moved and seconded as recorded in the public meeting and approved by voice vote. The board also approved a separate resolution accepting the resignation of Danielle Gilliard, secretary to the village administrator, and offered thanks for her service.
