The Nelson Select Board met Feb. 11, 2026 and, in brief business that took under an hour, approved several routine items and authorized the town warrant for posting.
Chair Brenna Kucinski called the meeting to order at 3:05 PM. Selectman Michael Blaudschun moved to approve the Budget Caucus minutes from Feb. 3; Chair Kucinski seconded and the motion carried, 3-0. Blaudschun then moved to approve the Feb. 4 meeting minutes; Kucinski seconded and that motion carried 2-0 with Selectman Don Carlisle recorded as absent for that vote.
The board approved the manifest for Feb. 11 as presented and authorized a building permit for J. Buschbaum to construct a garage with an office area on the second floor; both motions were moved by Selectman Michael Blaudschun, seconded by Chair Kucinski and carried 3-0. The board also voted to approve the 2026 Town Warrant and the accompanying MS-636 form for posting. In a separate motion the board approved fulfillment of three requests for information submitted by G. Robinson and A. Whitney; that motion carried 3-0.
J. Filipi, listed among others attending, stopped in to report on follow-up to a speeding complaint and noted a zoning violation the town is researching for possible enforcement. The minutes record that the enforcement matter is under review but do not show any formal directive or vote beyond the report.
With no further business, Chair Kucinski moved to adjourn; Michael Blaudschun seconded and the board adjourned at 4:02 PM. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
