Nelson to review highway truck sizing after Peterbilt repair remains unresolved

Selectman Michael Blaudschun told the Feb. 4 Selectmen meeting that, with the Peterbilt repair still unresolved, he will evaluate how best to move forward on the size and intended uses for any new highway trucks. Blaudschun said the review will inform future purchasing and operational decisions for the town's highway department.
On routine business the board approved the Jan. 28, 2026 minutes and the Feb. 4 manifest; both motions were moved by Michael Blaudschun and seconded by Chair Brenna Kucinski, each carrying 2-0. The board also approved a Report of Cut and Certification for A. Carr on Murdough Hill Road (motion carried 2-0) and signed previously approved interest abatements for the Town Clerk/Tax Collector. The meeting adjourned at 4:25 PM after a motion to adjourn carried 2-0.
