FARMINGTON, N.H. — At its May 11 meeting the Farmington Board of Selectmen handled routine administrative business including acceptance of minutes, a raffle permit authorization and follow-up on a delinquent parcel.
The board unanimously accepted public and non-public minutes for listed dates (motion Titus, second Chapman, passed 4-0). Town Clerk/Tax Collector Sam Jerome reported on a parcel on Chestnut Hill Road tied to Lorraine McBride and Fred Currier estates; the lot reportedly lacks road access and staff expect heirs to request the town proceed with deeding if tax delinquencies are not cured. Selectmen asked staff to gather deeds, maps and recorded documents before further action.
The Friends of Farmington submitted a permit application to conduct raffles and tag sales; the board authorized the Town Administrator to sign the permit (motion Staples, second Chapman) with Chairman Charlie King abstaining due to a disclosed association. The Town Administrator also reported he was sourcing appraisers for a cemetery project and that the Army Corps of Engineers had circulated preliminary paperwork toward a draft contract.
Non-public sessions: The board entered two non-public sessions under RSA 91-A:3 II (b) (hiring) and (c) (reputation) at documented times and exited both as recorded. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
