On workers' compensation, staff reported that MMIA will no longer provide municipal workers' compensation coverage after July 1 and that the city is evaluating alternatives. Staff said they have been working with Marsh McLennan as a broker and that Montana State Fund appeared to be a competitively priced option that offers safety training and other services; no final premium figure was available and staff said they would continue to gather information before making a final enrollment decision.
Next steps: staff will gather final premium figures and report back to council ahead of any contract or carrier change.
