Kellnersville reviews Highway T milling plan, qualifies for recycling grant and approves operator licenses

KELLNERSVILLE, Wis. — At its May 11 meeting the Village Board discussed transportation, recycling and licensing matters: the county’s milling and repaving of County Highway T is scheduled for 2027 with an estimated village cost of $41,500, and the village applied for the Local Small Structures Improvement Program (LSSIP) to help fund culvert work.
The board noted it has $30,138.91 in reserves and budgeted $10,000 for 2026 toward the project. The culvert under CTH T is entered into WisDOT’s Highway Structures Information System; the board requested county participation in culvert design.
Manitowoc Disposal provided updated recycling figures that raised the village’s annual recycling rate to 143.52 pounds per person, exceeding the 82.4-pound collection standard and qualifying Kellnersville for a recycling grant.
The board also approved operator license applications for Kayla Brey and Kendra Wunrow. Village payables of $11,349.40 were approved as presented.
