LAAC approves new landscape-architect certificates, designates CLARB attendees

The Mississippi Landscape Architecture Advisory Committee approved the January 2025 meeting minutes and a set of landscape-architect certificates during its April 3 meeting in Starkville.
Martha Hill moved to approve the January minutes; Robert Mercier seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Mercier then moved, and Hill seconded, approval of certificates issued since the January meeting; that motion also passed unanimously. The minutes include a five-entry list of certificates issued, naming licensees and listing license numbers, dates, and method (reciprocity or exam).
In separate action, Warren (Cory) Gallo moved and Chair Alan Hoops seconded a motion to designate up to three landscape-architect members of the committee and the executive director to attend the CLARB Annual Meeting in Lexington, Kentucky, Sept. 18–20, 2025; the motion passed unanimously.
The committee affirmed Aug. 6, 2025 as the date of its next meeting. During open discussion members commended Martha Hill, whose term ends June 30, 2025, for her service. The meeting adjourned at 12:37 PM.
