Energy Manager Ingemar Mathiasson summarized the resolution and recommended its passage to the assembly. Members asked whether the grant funds would be available to residents of Kotzebue; Mathiasson said the borough will publicly announce program details beginning in November. Mayor Dickie Moto said the administration has discussed hiring another grant writer to support grant administration.
Member Craig McConnell moved to approve the resolution; Member Lincoln Carr seconded. The motion passed by roll call vote, recorded in the meeting transcript as unanimous.
