Village awards pulverize-and-pave contract to lowest responsive bidder

To stay within current CIP funding the board agreed to remove the high-cost 3rd Avenue segment from this phase and proceed with the base bid and selected alternates that align with available funds.
Todd (speaker 11) explained that Albrightson came in lower when alternates were factored. The board discussed road priority, long-term plans for 3rd Avenue (a larger reconfiguration vs. a short-term repair), and timing so work will be in place before summer events. The board moved to award the contract to Albrightson and the motion carried by voice vote (5-0).
Next steps: staff will finalize construction scheduling to complete paving and pulverization work and ensure sufficient time for materials to settle ahead of summer events.
