Public comment at the Sept. 8 Selectmen meeting included a report on increased visitation to Schoodic Point and a request for investment materials.
P. Barto told the Selectmen that attendees at a recent Acadia National Park meeting provided data showing a 16.6% increase in visitors to Schoodic Point this year. The minutes record the percentage but do not attach the underlying materials or note any verification performed by the town.
Another attendee, S. Fortin, asked the board for a copy of the documents the bank provided during the investment presentation. The minutes list distribution of several items for the record—Schoodic EMS Report, Investment Statement and thank-you letters—but do not state whether the bank materials were appended to the public record.
The board then adjourned the public portion of the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and entered executive session at 7:03 p.m. for personnel matters, returning to open session at 7:22 p.m.
