Town Manager: Winter Harbor will not receive a new tabulator for November; personnel policy to be fixed

At the Sept. 8 Selectmen meeting, Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb updated the board on administrative items including elections and personnel policy.
Liscomb reported she will attend Networking Day and confirmed that tax bills have been mailed. She told Selectmen that while the town was updating its personnel policy staff discovered a skipped section; Liscomb said that omitted section will be placed on an upcoming agenda for further action. She also reported that the Secretary of State did not go out to bid for the new tabulator machines for the third year in a row, which means Winter Harbor will not receive a new tabulator for the November election.
Selectmen recorded no additional selectmen or chairman issues and did not take further action on the personnel-policy omission during the public meeting. The board adjourned the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and entered executive session at 7:03 p.m. for a personnel matter under 1 M.R.S.A. § 405(6)(A), returning to open session at 7:22 p.m.
