Kellnersville reviews Highway T repaving, enters culvert with WisDOT and plans LSSIP application

The Village of Kellnersville reviewed a county estimate of $41,500 for Highway T surface milling and repaving scheduled for 2027, noted village funds of $30,138.91 and a 2026 budget allocation of $10,000, and discussed funding gaps for the project.
The culvert under County Trunk Highway T was entered into WisDOT’s Highway Structures Information System. The board plans to apply for the Local Small Structures Improvement Program (LSSIP), which can fund up to 90% of culvert repair or replacement costs; the application deadline is May 1. The board directed staff to pursue the LSSIP application.
Separately, the board discussed a recent drop in recycling numbers that left the village ineligible for a recycling grant and asked Manitowoc Disposal to investigate causes ahead of the April 30 annual report deadline.
Trustees noted the village purchased and installed a 15" Solar SD speed sign, installed April 12 by Ron Kohlbeck, and clerk Heather Dachelet is completing technical setup.
