Board approves personnel actions, moves superintendent evaluation date and extends contract; accepts donation to hold harmless salary impacts

The board then approved an amendment to the superintendent’s contract to move his annual evaluation date to Dec. 1 to better align with data availability, and separately approved a one‑year extension of the superintendent’s contract. Both motions were made, seconded and approved on voice/hand votes.
The board also considered and accepted a donation offered to ‘‘hold harmless’’ employee-salary impacts tied to new legislation through June. The chair later stated the donation vote was recorded as "7–0" in the meeting record.
Earlier, a motion to enter closed session had cited federal and state student‑privacy and personnel statutes and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act; the board entered closed session and reconvened to open session at 8:30 p.m. The actions taken on personnel and contracts were announced after the board’s return to open session.
The board scheduled follow‑up as needed and adjourned for the evening.
