PELLETIER โ The Pelletier board moved to table consideration of a proposed vegetation waste ordinance and set a procedural timeline for review, a special meeting and a 10-day public hearing window intended to allow approval at the board's subsequent meeting.
The mayor explained attorneys were unavailable for the second-Monday meeting and that the ordinance will be ready for review at the board's first February meeting; if the board sends the draft to a public hearing, the hearing will occur 10 days after that meeting so the board can consider final approval at the following meeting.
A commissioner moved and seconded a motion to table the item until next month; the motion carried on a voice vote. The agenda and the minutes of Dec. 5, 2022, were both approved earlier in the meeting on motions and voice votes.
During public comment, residents raised traffic-safety concerns and asked the town to expedite paperwork to DOT to finalize speed-limit changes on West Fire Tower Road and Pelletier Loop. The board scheduled its next meeting for Monday, Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at town hall and adjourned by motion and voice vote.
No ordinances were adopted at the meeting and no recorded roll-call tallies were provided in the minutes for these voice votes.
