Planning staff told the Peletier Board of Commissioners the planning board provided written comments and that proposed updates to the zoning ordinance—one set focused on residential shed standards and the other on mobile-home/recreational-vehicle park requirements—are ready for public review.
The planner said the revisions mainly clean up application language, accessory-building sections and dimensional requirements, and that one public hearing can cover both items. A staff member noted the planning board has also submitted a consistency statement and that a vacant planning-board seat needs filling.
The chair moved, a member seconded, and the board voted to call a combined public hearing for October 7 to consider the shed ordinance amendment and the mobile-home/RV park updates; staff will publish a combined newspaper notice and provide a copy of the proposed text to the board ahead of the hearing.
Commissioners who spoke urged moving forward without further delay, saying additional rounds of minor edits were unlikely to change the substance of the proposals. Planning staff offered to brief the board on the draft language before the hearing if members desired.
The hearing was scheduled but no ordinance was adopted at the Sept. 9 meeting; the modifications will return to the board after the Oct. 7 public hearing and any public input are considered.
