On the Friends of the Community Bandstand donation, board members noted that some physical work—replacement of signposts—had already been completed by Pine Hill Home Repair and discussed whether electrical work had been performed by a licensed electrician. Select Board members made acceptance contingent on receiving an electrician's liability-insurance certificate before any lights are installed. "We should get clarity on that," one board member said; the board voted to accept the donation contingent on the insurance documentation.
The board also discussed whether routine work done on the bandstand requires preapproval and whether volunteers or contractors must provide certificates; staff were directed to confirm documentation and follow up.
Vote details: Motions to accept the donations and the contingent bandstand acceptance passed unanimously.
