The board approved a contract with Envision to provide a deaf and hard‑of‑hearing teacher; a staff member confirmed the service will be in‑person every two weeks and that two students currently receive the service.
Ann Wood, media coordinator and assistant principal at Fred Anderson Elementary, was appointed to the library board to fill a vacancy left when Sherry Hale resigned; the board approved the appointment by motion.
Dr. Patrick presented a prayer certification required for the consolidated federal programs application (assuring the district does not prohibit constitutionally protected prayer) and the board authorized the superintendent or Dr. Patrick to sign and submit the consolidated application. Several policies were presented for first reading and will return for additional consideration.
The board also moved into closed session under cited state and federal statutes and returned to approve a personnel action report and out‑of‑district student requests before adjourning.
