Tunica board approves minutes, travel and a Neel‑Schaffer pay application; details and reimbursements noted

Alderman Adam Fullilove moved to approve the Jan. 6, 2026 minutes; Alderman Daniel M. Pierce seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The Board approved travel for the Mayor, Aldermen, Clerk (Deputy Clerk) and Town Attorney to attend the Mississippi Municipal League (MML) Summer Conference in Biloxi, scheduled June 28–July 2, 2026. Alderman Lee B. Turner moved to approve the travel and any lawful travel advances; Alderman Daniel M. Pierce seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The Board reviewed Pay Application No. 7 from engineering consultant Neel‑Schaffer, Inc., for the Town's sidewalk project in the amount of $3,822.73. The pay application was certified by the project engineer and the recorded motion approved payment; the minutes note that approximately 80% of the pay application amount will be reimbursed by the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT). Alderman Rebecca P. Fyfe moved to approve the pay application, Alderman Daniel M. Pierce seconded, and the Board voted unanimously to authorize payment.
Each of these motions passed by unanimous affirmative votes of the Aldermen present.
